Private Residence - Toilet Overflowing
This was an apartment in Royal Oak, MI. The insured said this his toilet was backed up, but it ran for a long period of time before he noticed. It wasn't the first time it happened, of course, but this time it was a serious matter because the water spread into different rooms and into the basement. All of his flooring and carpet had to be torn out and replaced, along with some personal items in his bedroom, closet and basement. We've all experienced clogged or backed up toilets, but when the water doesn't stop for whatever reason, the damage is even greater. Yikes. Be careful when flushing your toilet!
